"Dressing for Success”. Bonnie Bing of the Wichita Eagle will speak to our group on appropriate business attire. Pat Jones of Dress for Success Wichita will also be there to tell us a little about this non-profit organization.
"The Many Ways Stress Affects Your Health". Dr. Rebecca Kirby will discuss the physiology of stress and what you can do to handle it during this stressful time. Learning about stress helps you to cope with it.
"An Evaluation of Internal Auditor Responsibility for Fraud Detection." Dr. Paul Harrison, Chair of Accountancy in the Barton School of Business at Wichita State University, spoke to our group about an international research study that he completed for the Institute of Internal Auditors Research Foundation.
"GPS your Career: If You Don't Know Where You're Going, Any Path Will Get You There." Amy Shoemaker, Director of Talent Development with Kennedy & Coe, will speak to our group on identifying your ideal career, the importance of resumes, networking and mentoring, as well as first impressions and corporate manners. Ms. Shoemaker has over 20 years experience in human resources and training, and is recognized as a leader in female and minority workplace issues.
Tiffany Hayes from Super Suppers will share her entrepreneur experience with us. She will discuss the challenges she faced, the importance of change, and many other learning experiences.
"Putting Your Strengths to Work", by Darcee Datteri, Cessna. Learn how to identify your talents, develop talents into strengths, and manage weaknesses.
Ginger Farney, CPA, an Assurance Partner at Ernst & Young LLP, will be conducting a presentation on "Hot Accounting Topics".
